You Are My Miracle

If there is anything that has convinced me that all life is a miracle, it has been our seven-year journey through infertility.

Month after month, year after year for seven years, nothing yielded a baby. Charting, testing, invasive procedures, Eastern medicinal teas, acupuncture, changes to my diet and nutrition, medication, shots, you name it. The only thing that grew was my awareness of all the things that could possibly go wrong at any point along the road to pregnancy. I began to wonder how in the world anyone could get pregnant. To me, the conclusion was simple – all life is a miracle.

Well God was abundantly gracious in answering our prayers and the prayers of many with the arrival of our son and daughter years ago. Each day I thank God for the miracle of their lives…and I make sure they know what a miracle their lives are as well!  

I’m excited for my first children’s book, You Are My Miracle, to be released into the world! I wrote this book for little ones to know they are wanted and waited for, created with purpose because of God’s great love for them. And I wrote this book for the parents of these little ones – for those who waited expectantly to meet their children, whether through a healthy pregnancy or through the long and lonely roads of adoption and/or fostering, of miscarriage or infant loss, of neonatal intensive care, or through their own infertility journey.

My prayer is that every child who reads this book would believe their lives are a miracle and that the many paths God chooses to grow a family would be seen and celebrated.
